Arusha to Tarangire
Morning departure and an afternoon game drive in Tarangire, following the river where the elephant concentrate. Overnight near the park.

Into the Serengeti
We drive up through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, pausing at the crater viewpoint, then out across the short-grass plains into the Serengeti with an afternoon game drive. Overnight in the central Serengeti.

Full day in the Serengeti
A full day with a picnic lunch, so we can stay out where the wildlife is rather than returning to camp. Seronera's kopjes and river line reliably hold lion and leopard. Overnight in the Serengeti.

Serengeti to the crater rim
A last morning drive on the plains, then east to the Ngorongoro rim for the afternoon. Optional: a dawn balloon flight over the Serengeti, arranged in advance. Overnight on the rim.

Crater floor and return
Descend at dawn for a long morning on the crater floor, then out and back to Arusha or Moshi in the late afternoon.
